![]() I can tuck the Mini in my bag and bike over. But it means the costs involved are not combined and I can meet those expenses half at a time which makes it less financially daunting.įinally, there's a lot less involved if you end up needing to take it to the Genius Bar for some reason. And when the time comes that the M1 Mini isn't cutting it for my needs, I can replace it. Eventually I will get a better display as prices come down on 5k and/or OLEDs. With my M1 and my new 28" 4k display, I'm good for a while. If one part dies, you lose the use of the entire thing. All in one machines just basically suck imo. I realized that while I could - and did - upgrade the innards to a fast SSD, there really wasn't any good option for allowing the display to move forward with advances. I had a 2011 iMac which was working just fine, but the screen was 21.5" and we've come a long way from that.
